Words Have Power

Words have power and sometimes they are needed and needed desperately….

Yesterday was one of those times when words needed to be strong and clear and yet they failed, and failed horribly to address the situation in hand…..

Do you think for a moment that someday, somehow you will not be different than the rest, who will speak for you?

First they came for the Socialists, and I did not speak out—
Because I was not a Socialist.

Then they came for the Trade Unionists, and I did not speak out—
Because I was not a Trade Unionist.

Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out—
Because I was not a Jew.

Then they came for me—and there was no one left to speak for me.
